A “Community-Building Space” for IDPs and veterans has opened in Boiarka, Kyiv region.

The IDP Council and the veterans' community will work in the same space. People will be able to receive legal and psychosocial assistance, implement their own initiatives and participate in community life here.

▪️The Boiarka community was the first in Ukraine to allocate separate municipal premises for the IDP Council. The space itself was created through the joint efforts of the community, UNHCR, local businesses and volunteers.

Vitalii Bezghin, Minister for Communities, Territories and IDPs, attended the opening.

💬 “Integration begins where people become part of community life, can influence it and create something together. This space should become such a place. The next step is its development. Once design work for the next phases is complete, the Ministry will help find an international partner to finance them,” said Vitaliy Bezgin.
