New functionality is being prepared in the Unified State Electronic System in Construction (EDESSB) to automatically generate an energy certificate and its annex based on data entered by an energy auditor.
The Ministry invites energy auditors to join beta testing to check the new service in real working conditions, identify possible inaccuracies and provide suggestions before its launch.
What will change for energy auditors?
Today, a specialist must not only enter data but also separately prepare and upload the energy certificate files.
The new functionality will allow data to be entered once in a structured format, after which the system will generate the necessary documents in the required format.
Data can be entered:
▪️ manually;
▪️ using a JSON file;
▪️ using a combination of methods.
The system will also automatically check that the data entered are complete and correct and generate the energy certificate and annex 2.
Why does this matter?
Automation will change more than the work of energy auditors. It converts building energy efficiency data into a structured digital format.
This means that in the future the data can be used for:
▪️ automatic monitoring of energy certificates;
▪️ analysis of building energy efficiency;
▪️ interaction with other public and private services;
▪️ assessment of the energy efficiency of Ukraine's building stock
▪️ connection to the European Building Stock Observatory (BSO).
Today, the energy certificate is becoming especially important as a reliable source of data on a building's energy efficiency and recommendations for improving it. For the owner, it provides information about the building's condition; for a person buying or renting housing, additional data on its energy performance; and for the state and communities, a basis for analysing the condition of the building stock and planning energy efficiency measures.
Nearly 2 000 building energy auditors work in Ukraine, and we invite specialists to join the testing. Their practical experience will help check how the new functionality works in real working scenarios.
