The renewed Coordination Headquarters for Evacuation Measures and Effective Response to Mass Population Displacement now includes 18 representatives of civil society organisations that work directly with people in frontline areas.
“As promised, we have renewed the membership of the Evacuation Coordination Headquarters. It is important for us to listen to organisations that work with people on the ground every day. They see the real needs and understand where additional help is needed and where decisions are required at ministry level,” said Minister Vitalii Bezghin.
At the meeting, the Coordination Headquarters reviewed the security situation in the Donetsk region and the mandatory evacuation of children by compulsory means from certain areas of the city of Kramatorsk and certain settlements in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk urban territorial communities.
Participants also discussed the readiness of transit centres for winter.
Particular attention was given to opening a transit centre in Mykolaiv, whose creation was planned during a working visit to the region, and to relocating a neuropsychiatric residential institution from the Zaporizhzhia region to the Lviv region. The minister urged Boryslav City Council to make the necessary decision as soon as possible.
Vitalii Bezghin thanked the heads of communities and regional military administrations, civil society organisations, volunteers and charitable foundations that help evacuate people from dangerous areas and receive them in safer parts of the country. He emphasised the importance of coordinating joint efforts so people receive the help they need in time and can settle in safer places.
