More than 2.5 billion hryvnias have already been received to finance housing certificates under the eRecovery programme.
As early as tomorrow, we expect funds to be reserved for nearly 2 thousand housing certificates for people with priority entitlement to compensation.
These are people who have priority entitlement to reserve funds:
▪️ persons with combatant status and persons with disabilities as a result of the war;
▪️ families of fallen war veterans and Defenders of Ukraine;
▪️ mobilised people who have not been granted combatant status;
▪️ persons with group I and II disabilities;
▪️ families with many children.
The funds arrived as part of the first tranche of 50 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Government of Italy. In total, 100 million euros has been secured this year under the HOME project “Compensation for Destroyed Housing”. Ukraine agreed on the funding with international partners during URC-2026 in Gdańsk.
Previously, under the HOME project, Ukraine had already secured 200 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank. Those funds financed more than 6 thousand housing certificates.
Behind every number is a Ukrainian family and an opportunity to have a home of their own again. We thank the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Government of Italy for their financial support.
The eRecovery programme helps Ukrainians repair damaged homes and buy new ones to replace those destroyed. Since it began, more than 273 thousand families have received compensation totalling 160.9 billion hryvnias. More than 33 thousand Ukrainian families have already purchased new housing using housing certificates.
