Vitalii Bezghin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, met with a delegation from LuxDev, the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency.
They discussed continued support for Kryvyi Rih district and new areas of cooperation.
Luxembourg is already doing a great deal at the level of individual communities. Its support covers digitalisation, inclusive educational environments, energy efficiency, local business development and job creation, mine safety and training of relevant specialists, and governance training for local self-government representatives.
These are distinct, high-quality projects; at the same time, it is important for us to continue this cooperation as comprehensive support for the territory. We proposed developing direct partnerships between Kryvyi Rih and Luxembourg communities and gradually moving towards a model of joint patronage over the region.
“Among the next priorities are training project managers in communities, attracting international financing, supporting the local economy and integrating our fellow citizens who were forced by the war to leave their homes.
I thank Luxembourg, personally Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Xavier Bettel, and LuxDev for their partnership,” Vitalii Bezghin stressed.
