The Chamber of Regional Youth Congresses of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine has begun work in Ukraine. Its leadership has also been elected.

This is the first institution in Ukraine to bring together youth representatives from all regions and create opportunities for their systematic participation in shaping state policy and developing solutions together with ministries, parliament and other authorities.

As Vitalii Bezghin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine, emphasised, young people bring new approaches, a modern vision and a fresh perspective to governance. It is therefore important not only to hear their voices, but also to create effective participation mechanisms in the processes on which the development of communities, regions and the state depends.

The Minister also noted the role of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine as a key platform for dialogue between central and local authorities and an important venue for ongoing cooperation with the Ministry.

Vitalii Bezghin thanked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, representatives of the Office of the President and everyone working to develop youth policy and consistently involve young people in state-building processes.

Young leaders must already be full participants in decision-making. This is how a new generation of leaders capable of taking responsibility for the development of their communities, regions and Ukraine is formed.
