Vitalii Bezghin, Ukraine’s Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, took part in joint meetings of the Ukrainian and Lithuanian government delegations.
The visit began at Lutsk Castle, a symbolic place in the shared European history of Ukraine and Lithuania. Together they honoured the memory of Ukraine’s defenders.
“Our shared history is especially tangible in Volyn. Today we continue it through new projects and direct links between communities. In particular, at URC-2026 we signed a declaration on a Municipal Partnership Programme worth EUR 1 million. Overall, since 2022 the country has provided Ukraine with approximately EUR 2 billion in assistance. I thank the Government of Lithuania for supporting Ukraine,” said Vitalii Bezghin.
