The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons continues to implement all projects and agreements in the areas for which Minregion is now responsible.
The Ministry continues to cooperate with international partners and assumes responsibility for implementing all existing agreements.
“Following the restoration of Minregion, it is fundamentally important to send a clear signal to partners, communities and all project beneficiaries: a change in the structure of the Government does not mean a halt to our joint work. There will be no pause in cooperation with international partners. We are expanding partnerships. We are maintaining all commitments. We take responsibility for their implementation and results,” said Vitalii Bezghin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine (Vitaliy Bezgin).
The Ministry’s remit includes regional development, multilevel governance, community support and recovery, housing policy and housing for internally displaced persons, including under the eRecovery programme, construction and planning, municipal infrastructure, energy efficiency, international territorial cooperation and other areas.
In these areas Minregion has a substantial cooperation portfolio with governments, international financial institutions, development agencies, the UN system, the European Union and international technical assistance projects.
The Ministry is currently reviewing its entire international cooperation portfolio. This includes assessing existing projects, identifying those requiring changes in priorities, and launching new ones.
New opportunities for joint projects receive particular attention.
We invite our partners to jointly develop a project portfolio in line with the needs of people in communities that most need support today.
