Obtaining unemployed status

Here you can obtain unemployed status and apply for unemployment benefit.

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and people who are in temporarily occupied territories or territories where hostilities are taking place (have taken place) - who do not have the documents required to register as unemployed - may submit a simplified application form.

How to access the service

Online

1. Sign in to the Citizen Account on the portal diia.gov.ua You can use an electronic signature, BankID or Diia.Signature to sign in.

2. In the service catalogue, select the section Pensions, benefits and assistance. Then select the service Obtaining unemployed status and click Submit an application.

3. Determine which form suits you: simplified or standard.

Simplified form is suitable if you:

• are an internally displaced person (IDP)
• are in a temporarily occupied territory or in an area where hostilities are taking place (or have taken place). The simplified form also does not require the application to be certified with an electronic signature.

Standard form - this option is for all citizens who have all the necessary documents. To submit an application you will need:

• scanned copies of documents
• an electronic signature - a file-based or hardware key
