# Assistance after returning

**Assistance after returning to Ukraine**

Internally displaced persons who have returned to Ukraine after staying abroad can apply for state support. Assistance is provided subject to compliance with legal requirements.

**What assistance is available:**

1. **IDP living assistance** - a monthly cash payment for individuals and families who meet the established criteria.
2. **Housing support** - participation in state housing programs, compensation for damaged or destroyed housing, and rental subsidies where eligible.
3. **Social services** - support for families with children, people with disabilities, older people and other vulnerable groups.
4. **Employment assistance** - job searches, vocational training and retraining through the State Employment Service.
5. **Humanitarian and psychological support** - counseling, social support and assistance in difficult life circumstances.

**How to apply:**

- obtain or renew an IDP certificate if there are grounds to do so;

- contact a Pension Fund of Ukraine office, an Administrative Services Center or the authorized community body about living assistance;

- contact local social protection authorities to receive social services;

- check the available support programs on the state portal for IDPs.

**Important:** if an IDP is applying for living assistance for the first time after staying abroad, the application may be submitted no earlier than 15 working days after returning to Ukraine. The award of the payment depends on meeting the established criteria.
