# Compensation for the costs of temporarily accommodating IDPs

Compensation for the costs of temporarily accommodating IDPs amounts to UAH 450 per person per month. It can be received by homeowners who accommodate IDPs free of charge. From 1 March 2025, applications for compensation are submitted to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Compensation is assigned for six months, with a possible automatic extension for another six months after verification.

## Who is entitled to compensation?

Owners of residential premises in Ukraine who provide their housing free of charge to internally displaced persons.

## What is the compensation amount?

UAH 450 per month for each person accommodated.

## What is the procedure for obtaining it?

- Contact the Pension Fund: from 1 March 2025, applications and the necessary documents should be submitted to Pension Fund service centres.

- Submission of documents: a notification and an application in the prescribed form, the homeowner's and IDP's passports, identification numbers, the homeowner's bank account details and an IDP certificate must be provided.

- Assignment of compensation: it is assigned for six months.

- Automatic extension: after the six-month period ends, payment is automatically extended for the next six months if the IDPs continue to live at the specified address.

## When is compensation not assigned?

- If the homeowner and the IDP are close relatives: parents, husband/wife or children.

- If the IDP stayed abroad for more than 30 consecutive calendar days.

- If the IDP did not live at the address for which compensation is provided for more than a month.

- If the application contains inaccurate information.
