# Nursing care service and accommodation service

16 October 2025

The long-term nursing care and shelter service is a project for internally displaced persons that provides temporary care and support to people who need medical or social assistance.

## Who can receive the service?

- Internally displaced persons (IDPs) evacuated to transit points.

- IDPs with reduced mobility who require constant care.

- Older people or persons with disabilities who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.

## What does the service include?

**1. Long-term nursing care (up to 30 days):**

- medical care and fulfilment of doctors' prescriptions;

- health monitoring and wound care;

- assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and eating;

- psychological support;

- accommodation, household services, clothing and hygiene supplies; - support from a social specialist who will help restore documents, find housing, assess the person's needs, and so on.

**2. An accommodation service (up to 12 months):**

- safe accommodation and utilities;

- household equipment, clothing and meals;

- conditions for self-care, cooking and doing laundry;

- assistance with household tasks, social adaptation and support in resolving life problems.

## How to obtain the service?

Nursing care can be received following consultation with a healthcare worker at an evacuation point. Immediately after evacuation from a combat zone, if necessary, a person goes to one of the healthcare facilities to receive long-term nursing care.

1. Submit an application stating the need for social services to a provider or social protection authority, in writing or electronically.

2. If you cannot do this yourself, a social worker will help.

3. Choose a social service provider entered in the Register of Providers and holding an agreement with the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

4. Receive the services free of charge within the specified period.
