Vitalii Bezghin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, together with fellow ministers Mykola Kalashnyk and Oksana Ferchuk, presented their parts of the Government Action Programme at a meeting of the Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning.

Five key operational objectives were defined for Minregion.

1. A transition to regional policy based on European cohesion principles: different types of territory require different support instruments.
2. A systematic policy on IDPs. We will build a single pathway for each person, from evacuation to integration into a community. We will move from temporary solutions to long-term ones.
3. Continuing decentralisation and strengthening community capacity: a clear division of powers between the state and local government. We are strengthening project capacity by training 1000 project managers for communities.
4. A high-quality and accessible living environment: simpler spatial planning, digitalisation of construction and BIM technologies. More than 500 accessible routes.
5. International partnerships for community development and the return of Ukrainians.

There is much legislative work ahead. We will separately present our priority bills to the committee.

"I thank my colleagues for a substantive discussion and their support in the vote. Implementing this programme requires coordinated work by the government, parliament and local government. I am confident this is how we will move forward", said Vitalii Bezghin.
